Government Response: The Education Workforce Council (Main Functions) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2024

Technical Scrutiny point 1:                         The Welsh Government does not agree with the technical reporting point. The Welsh Government considers that the amendment is legally effective, and its intended meaning clear in its context. The amendment captures a person who is registered in at least one “category of registration”. This is defined in section 41(1) of the enabling Act by reference to section 9(3) of that Act.
